Mid-level Software Tester (13008614)

Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science
Northrop Grumman Information Systems is seeking a Mid-Level Software Tester to join us in transforming the future of technology for the benefit of all Americans. This position will be located in McLean, VA.  Join us in transforming the future of technology for the benefit of all Americans.  The qualified applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman's IRS Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) project which is a multi-year effort to provide new functionality and capabilities following the full software development lifecycle and iterative Agile development methodology.
The candidate should have experience in all aspects of system verification, including test planning, test design, test execution, and test evaluation. The candidate should also have experience with structured software development methodologies and modern software test tools and techniques. The candidate will work with other software testers, and will be responsible for executing internal functional, integration, and regression tests, and documenting results in test reports. The role will require working side-by-side with Government testers.

• Participate in the elicitation and specification of requirements to ensure requirements testability
• Develop test cases mapping software requirements across the system functionality
• Experience developing test cases for enterprise web applications and SOA-based applications
• Document traceability of test cases to requirements in Requirements Traceability and Validation Matrix (RTVM)
• Perform software and system verification and validation testing using manual and automated test tools
• Validate compliance and usability
• Perform analysis, research, and troubleshooting of software defects
• Document defects and anomalies
• Support software test plans, cases, reports, as well as capture and report test metrics
• Effectively and actively communicate with the engineering team, management, and the customer
• Ensure compliance to NGC sector policy and procedures.

• Bachelors degree and minimum 5 years of software testing experience
• Experience developing test cases for enterprise web application and SOA-based applications
• Experience performing software and system verification and validation testing using manual and automated test tools
• Ability to obtain Government MBI Clearance

• Experience testing enterprise web applications and SOA-based applications
• Experience in developing testing solutions with automated test tools
• IRS testing experience
• Current IRS MBI
