should be experienced Production Support and would be capable of executing scripted shakeout tests for custom internally developed applications. The resource should be able to recognize 
exceptions, open tickets, and participate in root cause and remediation. The candidate should gather and store artifacts and document the completion of testing. The candidate should be able to 
provide status reports to the Team, developers and other members. In addition to general experience in application testing and/or application support, specific proficiency in Windows/Linux/Unix, 
SUDO, Shell scripts, Autosys, toad and Oracle, SQL is required. Experience in COTS packages such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion, as well as database (Oracle, SQL Server) experience is preferred. 
Analyze requirements to prepare approach and test case for each test initiative - Design, write and execute repeatable test cases/scripts using Quality Center - Ensure that test case standards are 
adhered to for all test cases. - Create or modify test data and expected results to be used for validation using a variety of tools. - Store artifacts and test cases in Quality Center - Report testing results 
and issues in a timely and accurate manner. - Report and track incidents (defects) in Clear Quest - Conduct root cause analysis of defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient 
details to understand, replicate and to resolve. - Participate in meetings with team and stakeholders to review project planning, status, and issue - May provide accurate estimated LOE for 
completion of design, authoring, and execution of test cases. Must have*s: - Demonstrated strong organizational, problem solving and analytical and providing operational support. - Experience in SDLC 
interpret requirements, build testable test cases, validate and interpret results - 5-7 years of hands on software testing experience. - Experienced in UAT testing tools, Mercury Quality Center, Clear 
Quest, DOORS. - Attention to detail is critical for this role. - Must have strong SQL, Toad query creation and manipulation skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• This individual will play an active hands-on role in all aspects of quality assurance, from functional requirements walkthroughs, reviewing and analyzing functional and technical designs, creating test plans and developing and executing tests of project features.
• This position will work closely with the product management, development, delivery and support teams, ensuring that testing of new functionality is automated as quickly as possible and that the complete end-to-end automated regression test suite is run continuously.
• This includes personally writing and/or executing automated and manual tests. 
• End-to-end business system testing is required including UI, business logic, and database results.

• Work closely with Product/Business Analysts and Managers to understand the product requirements and use cases in order to deliver high quality software on schedule for production releases.
• Create and execute test plans and test cases based upon functional and software design specifications.

• Interface with 3rd parties on requirements, testing, and problem troubleshooting, as needed.

Work Experience and Core Competencies:

• Experience with the systems development lifecycle and the role of QA in those processes.
• Strong analytical skills in assessing user, functional, and technical requirements and documentation and identifying high risk and key test areas.
• Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture and deployment.
• Experience testing database driven applications including data validation using SQL.
• GUI test automation experience is helpful

This resource is responsible for the technical QA process on both internal and external software projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Review business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, design and architecture documents in order to produce a test strategy and test cases
• Create test strategy, test plans, test cases, test data, and test results memo
• Perform smoke, system, integration, functional, performance, load and regression testing to ensure the final implementation through the successful execution of the QA process and procedures
• Report, track defects, and create bugs report using defect tracking system, JIRA
• Update and maintain test plan and test result documentation
• Communication and reporting of the QA process and status through NORC's test management tools
